19. Life, Growth and Transcendence
What does the Jewish mystical tradition teach about the difference between truly living and merely existing? Learn how every stage of human growth and maturity, beginning before birth, is rooted in a particular set of developmental dynamics which are necessary for spiritual awareness and self-actualization. What are the challenges and opportunities of each stage of life? How can we recognize and develop our own uniqueness? Understand the secret of aging and how the limitations of temporal time allow us to access the infinite. (4 or 5 part series, or one session, min 4 hours)

20. The Light of Chanukah
Chanukah guides us in galut, our exile today. We will be illuminated by this light through our customs, laws and tradition till we return to the Land in the time of the coming of the Messiah. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob served G-d each in their different ways. These ways are associated to the time of our ancient Temple in Jerusalem. How are these ways reflected in our major Jewish holidays? In our 'minor' holidays of Purim, Chanukah and Tisha B'Av, these ways of serving G-d were refined further so as to be meaningful for our time in exile, which extends to today. How do the major and minor holidays reflect each other? It all comes together in the light of Chanukah, the last festival inaugurated by our Rabbis. (individual lecture, 2 hours)

21. Likutei Moharan: The Teachings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov
Likutei Moharan (The Magnum Opus of Rebbe Nachman) contains universal lessons of great depth which inspire and move us to improve ourselves and come closer to G-d. Rabbi Nachman's original teachings, which weave together concepts from the Bible, Talmud and Kabbalah, speak to the heart of the modern Jew. Rabbi Fleer is one of the world's experts on Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, the great grandson of the Baal Shem Tov. Rabbi Fleer's unique way of teaching Likutei MoHaRan is an experience not to be missed. (Individual classes or multi-session series exploring a longer lesson in depth)
